Terms and Conditions

GENERAL

The use in these terms and conditions of us, we and/or our shall refer to Bird and Bear. The use in these terms and conditions of you and/or your shall refer to the purchaser.

SHIPPING

Shipping is charged at a flat rate of R85 for door-to-door courier within South Africa, for orders under R750.

For orders of R750 and over, shipping is FREE

We deliver to physical addresses (not post boxes) within South Africa.

Orders can also be collected at no charge from Constantia, Cape Town. If you would like to collect your order please select this option when checking out and we will be in contact to confirm a time and address for collection. 

DELIVERY TIME

Delivery to main centres will take place between 5 and 7 working days from placing your order. Please allow an additional 1-2 days for regional/outlying areas. The exact delivery time will depend on your location. If you need an order urgently please contact us and we will do what we can to assist you.

CONTENTS

Product images published on www.birdandbear.co.za as well as on any associated social media accounts – https://www.instagram.com/birdandbearza/ and https://www.facebook.com/birdandbearza – represent examples of the products included in our Family Gift boxes or Postpartum Recovery boxes. In some instances we may need to substitute a product with an equivalent product of a different brand due to stock availability.

PRODUCT DISCLAIMER

No claims, representations or warranties, whether express or implied, are made by Bird and Bear as to the safety, reliability, durability and performance of any of the products contained in our boxes or otherwise supplied by us (hereinafter “the products”).
Except where any individual product’s documentation indicates otherwise, the products have not been evaluated by the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority.
The products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any illness or disease.
Bird and Bear accepts no liability whatsoever for the safety, reliability, durability and/or performance of any of the products, and all products supplied by us are to be used at the user’s own risk and for their intended purposes only.
Bird and Bear will under no circumstances be held liable, whether in contract or delict, for any harm or damages of any sort which may arise from the use of the products, and the buyer hereby indemnifies us and holds us harmless against any such claim.

CURRENCY

All prices are listed in South African Rands.

PAYMENT METHODS

Payments on www.birdandbear.co.za are processed via PayFast – Visa, Mastercard and EFT accepted. Payment via SnapScan is also available.

RETURNS POLICY

Bird and Bear will accept the return of any product that is faulty, damaged or of poor quality within six (6) months of the date of purchase.  In this event, customers must contact us via email as soon as possible after receiving the product and provide proof of purchase (receipt/invoice), details of any faults, damage or quality issues, as well as photographic evidence of any damage if applicable. We will issue a return address of where to send the product. Replacements or refunds will only be processed once we have received and assessed the product.

If you wish to return an item for any other reason, you can do so within 14 days of it being delivered to you in order to be eligible for a refund. Thereafter only exchanges can be made. Kindly return items unworn/unused and in their original packaging, with tags/labels still attached, along with the original tax invoice. Refunds will only be processed once we have received and assessed the product. Return shipping costs in this instance will be at the customer’s expense.

Please note that panties may not be returned. If you are unsure about sizes, please contact us before making your purchase.

ORDER CANCELLATION

An order of a standardised box as listed on www.birdandbear.co.za may be cancelled if payment has not yet been made. If payment has been made, but the parcel has not been dispatched, cancellation will attract a fee of 20% of the relevant transaction amount in order to cover administration costs. Unfortunately, an order cannot be cancelled after the parcel has been dispatched.
